Troop 13 - Order of the Arrow Elections - March 1st

Posted on Feb 27 2021 - 8:09pm
For over 100 years, the Order of the Arrow has made Scouting better. The Order of the Arrow is Scouting's National Honor Society and recognizes those scouts that exemplify the Scout Oath, Law, and Outdoor Code in their daily lives.

Our troop will be holding our election on Monday March 1st 2021 at 7:00pm. The election will be conducted virtually over Zoom. The elections team will give a presentation about what the Order of the Arrow is and what the requirements to join the Order of the Arrow consist of. You will also watch a short video during the presentation telling you about the history of the Order of the Arrow. For a youth member to be considered a candidate for election into the Order of the Arrow they must meet the membership requirements. Note, that because of the ongoing pandemic, some requirements have been temporarily altered to make it more achievable for Scouts. Because of this, please take special consideration of who is eligible, of both the temporary requirements and the traditional requirements.

1. The youth member must be a registered member of the Boy Scouts of America.
2. You must have 15 nights of camping within the past two years immediately prior to the election.
3. At the time of the election you must be under the age of 21 to vote and be considered a youth. You also must be first class to be eligible.

As a brief reminder, 50% attendance is required for an election to happen. We encourage all youth in the troop to attend this important meeting
